Obviously everyone knows, a maiko wears a very different, more elaborate and complex kimono than the common person. So I thought we should start a thread about the special parts of a maiko's kimono that is not included in a normal kimono. Like the obi for instance is not any normal obi. A darari (maiko obi) is around twenty feet long. Maiko wear more layers than normal kimono and the trail of there kimono is padded. They also usually don't wear geta but there tall shoes okobo. Hope this thread works out! Enjoy!
