Hey guys, supposedly, Freeforums is telling me that ALL forums on their servers will be converted to PHP3 by June 1st. That's little over a week from now. It could be updated before that, but I am not sure. So if the board freaks out on you in that time span, don't worry. Myself, Ichisumi, and Miehina will all be on it to get the board back to normal and even better than before.

On another note, TM is almost a year old! TsurukoMaiko was started on June 11th, so, we're nearly to our one year anniversary! Thanks everyone for making it happen, and be patient with us when this update happens!

good news (i think) - and i don't worry about a freaking board, because it is already freaking. when i tried to read the news just a second ago, the topics, flower and willow, geisha library and individual maiko and geiko were just vanished O___O after i logged in i could see them again.

I've turned those threads onto 'Registration only." So they're set just like the Ochaya now. It's come to my attention that things are getting posted around by unregistered users, and I'd rather only registered users see that information, or least have an idea of who might be copying our information and our finds and such, since it forces them to log in now, versus them invisibly copying what ever and posting it where ever and getting the credit.

okay, the idea is good so far, but here is my BUT: it will be hard to get new members then. because if you sign up for a board you visit it, read through it and decide then if it is good for you or not. if the new members are not able to read the stuff, they won't sign up, will they?

That is a problem, but I'll be changed over when we get the upgrade. I'll be able to then choose specific threads that we would want to enact certain post counts a user would need as well as a registered account. Most likely the Erikae thread, the photo thread, and the gallery in general. Most of us like a little credit when finding something and I don't like seeing people from other boards using us as an image gatherer. We did get a new member, though, they've yet to post, even after I put through the changes. The IG board has more than a few sections that are registration only, and I honestly don't blame them for it, and they certainly get new members. I don't think it'll be much of a problem, though when I go to redo the rules, which won't be much changes, just written clearer and more neatly, I will note that a lot of the sections are registration only. Might get more people actually then. ;3

:headdesk: I knew it! Which is why I said supposedly. Freeforums postponed it again, they've pushed it to June 22. I've got an appointment in a few, but I assure you guys, when I get back, Freeforums is going to get a very, very nasty message from me. We've been in the queue since early March, they then tell us, forced update on June 1st, and then at the last moment, they go, "Teehee, we lied, it's June 22nd!"
