[ I searched for this topic & I couldn't find one but feel free to move it ]
1) Has anyone ever met a real Geisha or Maiko?
2) Has anyone ever spoken to a real Geisha or Maiko?
3) Has anyone ever seen a Geisha or Maiko in person?
If anyone has an answer to any of my questions I would love to hear about it! ( even if you've only seen a real Geisha in person)
Thanks everyone!

Nothing thus far? Sore wa... ...ummm, guess that's why we all joined this here Board in the first place, didn't we? This line hits my mono no awareness really hard. Sorry I can't help you out with some delicious Melissa-esque story... and just where's the ol' ancestral short sword again?

This is the last remaining geisha of Yoshiwara, Minako Ne-san. She will be 90 next month. She always teases me 'How can you play the shamisen so well, in spite of being a foreigner? 外人の癖ね!'
