Since, I've very tied up at the moment, it's hard to do a personalized tutorial with english directions, I promise to do one, but 1.) I need a model, 2.) I need an assistant, and 3.) I need some time. XD For now, I hope this will help anyone who's wishing to learn Kitsuke and is without a reference at all on dressing. I find this site very useful, and I will point out a few of the pages that have been most useful to me, so no one has to dig through the Kanji for those of us that can't understand it (yet!). Hope it helps! <3

Part 1.) The Juban
http://www.sgm.co.jp/kituke/01aeaeo/02aeeeeuoae/
What you'll need: ( as per this tutorial )
Juban, Haneri, eri shin, koshi-himo, date-jime.

Part 2.) The Kimono

http://www.sgm.co.jp/kituke/01aeaeo/03aeiaei/
What you'll need:
Kimono, clips for alligning the collar, koshi himo, korin belt, and date-jime.
( collar tip: for the clips, buy a few of those fridge clips or clippy close pins, they work just fine and are super cheap and probably laying about your place. I use three versus one. )

Part 3. ) The Obi

http://www.sgm.co.jp/kituke/01aeaeo/05/
A multitude of styles are here, most of these are for informal ensembles for townwear or Yukata, but there are a few that require an obi-age and a few o-taiko variants.

Formal Obi - Require a Fukuro or Maru obi, or some other 12 inch wide obi

Part.4 ) -
Obi Jime and Obi age ( this is optional for informal ensembles. )

What you'll need: Obi Jime and Obi-age

What we need now is like, Type of kimono to wear according to occasion.

What season each motif is in and such.

I agree with Cortana. I'm sure many of us know what is worn where and when, but I'm sure many of us don't.

And sometimes it's nice to have a reference for motifs.

Should we start a thread? One for motifs and one for occasations?
