I would recommend one Korean movie "Oldman". This one is really god: the actor is brilliant (the actress is so-so), thw pilot is interesting and it is beautiful; they worked with colors a lot, sometimes using bleaching to make colors more bright after. I suggest that this small off topic will not conflict with the trend

An nice japanese movie is DREAMS by Akira Kurosawa.It is a collection of short stories and there are 2 about japanese legends,placed in Heian Age.(kitsuki and toya spirities)
