Hello everyone, and nice to meet you all.
My name is Yvonne, and though I've been a member here since April, it is to my great shame that this is my second post (my first was posted half an hour ago...). Anyway, I'm twenty years old, living in Holland, Europe, and busy with my third year at the university in The Hague. I'm studying Communications & Multimedia Design (digital communications and stuff) and currently following a course on photography.
How did I end up here? Well... I'm not really sure. My fascination with the karyukai started when I read Memoirs of a Geisha. I became interested in the whole geisha thing and started dressing and kind of acting as one on IMVU, a community / RPG site I'm a member of. Teaching people there what a geisha is - or what I thought they were, back then. Looking for more information because I wanted to draw a maiko, I found IG (using the same username there, by the way), Youtube (I collect clips that have maiko and geiko in them), Flickr and eventually ended up here. Yay!
I do have other hobbies besides researching about the flower and willow world. I love drawing (both digital as traditional) and web design and coding. I also like musicals, RPG, chocolate

and learning about cultures.
Well, that's it, I think.
